Had dinner at Soi Thai Kitchen and overall had a pleasant experience. The chicken skin wasn’t served piping hot but still managed to stay crispy, which was a nice touch. The highlight of the meal was definitely the pandan chicken-at just $9.90 for four large pieces, it’s great value. They use thigh meat that’s well seasoned and juicy. We also tried the red tom yum soup and topped it up with vermicelli; it was flavourful and had a good balance of spice and sourness. The basil pork rice was just average-nothing to shout about, but decent enough. Service was good and the staff were friendly, which made the meal more enjoyable. Would recommend for affordable Thai food and especially for the pandan chicken! Not sure why so many bad reviews but I think overall quite a good meal.

Kitty, two friends, and I recently dined at Soi Thai Kitchen, Serangoon Gardens, after reviewing its high Google rating and menu online. The restaurant's atmosphere was cozy and had a pleasant Thai ambiance. We ordered several dishes, including Kitty's beef noodle soup with a prawn cake, my Pad Thai with extra beef, and our friends' Basil with rice and egg with pork. Kitty's soup was delicious, the beef tender, and the broth flavorful. My Pad Thai was also excellent. Our friends enjoyed their Basil dish, noting the well-balanced flavors and good portion size. The drinks, including Kitty's Thai iced green tea and my Chang beer, were well prepared and refreshing. However, the service was inattentive, requiring repeated attempts to flag down staff for assistance. The food quality was high, but the inattentive service detracted from the overall experience. We would recommend Soi Thai Kitchen for its delicious Thai food and cozy atmosphere, but advise diners to be prepared for potentially slow service. We rate Soi Thai Kitchen 4 out of 5 stars.

The Honey Chicken was crispy on the outside (but a little hard to my liking), tender inside, and coated in a sweet yet balanced glaze. The Pad Thai was good, with the perfect mix of tangy, savory, and slightly sweet flavors, along with a nice smoky wok hei. The Kailan was fresh, crunchy, and well-seasoned, making it a great complement to the meal. The service was friendly, and the ambiance was cozy, making it a great spot for a casual dinner. Highly recommend for authentic Thai flavors! Will definitely be back to try more dishes.

Soi Thai Kitchen (Serangoon Gardens): Delicious Thai Food in a Lively Setting 4 out of 5 stars Ratings: • Food: 4/5 (Delicious and authentic Thai food; well-balanced flavors; fresh ingredients; perfectly cooked Pad Thai; rich and aromatic Beef Noodle Soup; delightful prawn cake) • Service: 3/5 (Not very attentive, despite a steady stream of customers) • Ambiance: 5/5 (Vibrant atmosphere; colorful decor; comfortable setting; not overly crowded) • Value: 5/5 (Very reasonable prices; great value for money) • Overall: 4/5 Donkey, I, and two cycling friends recently cycled to Soi Thai Kitchen in Serangoon Gardens for a relaxed dinner. This popular spot is known for its affordable, authentic Thai food, and we were eager to try it. The restaurant's vibrant atmosphere, with colorful decor and a comfortable ambiance, was immediately appealing. Even though it was dinner time, the restaurant wasn't overly crowded, making for a relaxed dining experience. While the service wasn't very attentive, even with a steady stream of customers, the food was delicious and authentic, with well-balanced flavors and fresh-tasting ingredients. Donkey ordered the Pad Thai with beef, which was perfectly cooked, with tender beef. I opted for the Beef Noodle Soup with a side of prawn cake; the soup boasted a rich, aromatic broth and succulent beef, and the prawn cake was a delightful crispy addition. Our friends sampled the Pai Tai Seafood and Basil pork rice, also receiving positive reviews. The overall quality and taste of the food were excellent. The prices were very reasonable, well within the S$10-20 range per person, making it great value for money. Parking our bicycles wasn't an issue during our visit. Soi Thai Kitchen in Serangoon Gardens is highly recommended for a casual and enjoyable Thai dinner. The combination of delicious food, a lively atmosphere, and (despite some minor service shortcomings) efficient service makes it an ideal place for a group gathering or a relaxed meal with friends.
